Sim TAVI
The Simulation TAVI Training Course
The Sim TAVI Course will not take place in 2026.
We are currently working on the next edition and will share updates soon.
The TAVI Revolution
TAVI has revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, offering minimally invasive solutions for complex cases. Despite advancements, expertise in pre-procedural planning, vascular access management, and valve deployment remains critical. Sim TAVI provides hands-on training to master these essential skills in a high-fidelity simulation environment.
Highlights from Our Last Course
Last September, medical professionals from 15+ European countries came together at SO/ Vienna for an intensive hands-on TAVI training. With 30+ participants, 7+ international faculty members, and 20+ expert-led simulation sessions, attendees enhanced their skills using state-of-the-art technology. The course received outstanding feedback, with 95% of participants rating it as “highly valuable.”
Learning Objectives
- Master patient management for aortic stenosis using real-life cases and the latest guidelines.
- Gain hands-on experience with ultrasound-guided femoral puncture and vascular closure devices.
- Develop proficiency in TAVI screening CT evaluation and interpretation using specialized software.
- Perform TAVI procedures on state-of-the-art simulators featuring various valve technologies.

"I highly recommend the Sim-TAVI course as a practical, hands-on workshop that balances theory with practical simulation on multiple TAVI simulators, as well as training in large-bore closure skills. It's an excellent opportunity for physicians who are about to start or are in the early stages of learning TAVI procedures. Thanks to the organizers and faculty for a job well done."
